Special Announcement Time!!

I am sooooo excited to announce that Club Kindergarten will be getting a makeover!!  Next year, I will be teaching first grade! :)

Kindergarten has been such a blast and I've had some absolutely wonderful experiences with my students.  Wouldn't trade it for the world!  But alas, my heart lies in first grade!  I did my student teaching in a first grade classroom four years ago, and I'm so excited to be returning to my roots.

Now the real challenge comes...thinking of a new name for my blog!!  Gotta mull this one over!

Is It July Already??

It feels like the summer just started, but July is already here!  I have to admit, I've been taking it pretty easy, enjoying my summer and not spending too much time on school related things.  I'm sure that won't last long though!

I just finished some crafty new magazine holders for next year.  The magazines in my reading center were always shoved in a drawer and forgotten about.  I wanted a way to display them, but those standing magazine racks are pretty pricey.  I started looking at other magazine racks, but I still didn't want to shell out the money.  So I made my own!  I saved a few cereal boxes and bought some fancy duct tape.  I had the blue scrapbook paper laying around already, so I was good to go!

 

Once they're filled with reading material, these will hang on the wall in my reading center so our magazines are visible and not forgotten!
