One of my favorite winter books is "The Biggest, Best Snowman" by Margery Cuyler! We haven't gotten too much snow in our area, but I still enjoy having students write about their own snowman. We pretend that we are having a contest to see who can build the biggest, best snowman. Students have to write about how they would build their own snowman. Some decided to enlist the help of friends, while others wanted to use a bulldozer to make their snowballs!
