I have to apologize for my extreme lack of blog posts lately, I just started grad school and things have been a little busy!
We've been working on our "Neighborhoods" unit during social studies. We read the book "Me on the Map" by Joan Sweeney, and then learned about cartographers while making our own maps.
The students started with a map of their own bedrooms. The next day we broadened our maps to include other rooms in the house. I always love their drawings. Check out the cat bed in the last photo! :)
In math, we've been working on addition and subtraction facts and story problems. Together, we made a list of all of the strategies we've used to figure out a problem. The kids are doing so well with this. We've even practiced some missing addend and equivalency problems!
Make sure you head on over to my TPT store for my Sunday Super Sale, everything 20% off!
