Has it really been almost a month since my last post? Eeek!! I'm a horrible blogger!
Our class has been enjoying the "Flat Stanley" books by Jeff Brown, and last week we worked on making "flat" versions of ourselves! The kiddos had a lot of fun with their cutouts!
I love the variety of hair styles! The students took their cutouts home, along with a parent letter explaining our "Stanley Project". Students were encouraged to go on their own adventure with their "flat self" and document it using writing, drawing, and/or photographs. When the students brought back their documented adventures, we put together a class book that now resides in one of our literacy centers. The students were so giggly the first time they looked through our book! They really enjoyed this project!
